RESHADE/GSHADE HELP?

My Sims 4 Game is completely fine, up-to-date, and has no problems. All of the CC I've downloaded aren't broken, and all the in-game script mods I have are also up to date. I've tried installing both ReShade and GShade (separate occasions, of course) but they don't seem to work in my game.

I can press HOME or F4, and the grey bar will show up, but when I try to select an already made preset that I've downloaded, my game just crashes. It crashes at the home screen, it crashes in CAS, in Build Mode, in Regular Mode - it just crashes.

When I discovered this problem with ReShade, I shrugged, uninstalled it, removed it from my files and installed GShade instead. The exact same problem, I can press the button for the grey bar to appear, and I can even click on some options - like the MXAO, Bloom - for some kind of preset-overlay to appear on my game just fine, but when I try to load an already-made preset (for example, like bloom 2.0 by ellcrze), my game crashes. I'm just wondering if anyone had any similar problems like this, or the exact problem like this, and somehow figured a way to overcome it and would be willing to share the results. I'm just trying to have a pretty game to look at.

I've also recently upgraded my computer because my old laptop broke, and while this laptop is mainly used for school, I decided to get back into playing Sims. I have the Windows 11, and my computer is also up-to-date, so I'm not too sure what the issue is. I've watched thousands of videos of how to download ReShade and GShade (and I'm also trying to download the latest versions, not the eldest, though, its looking like I might download some of the older ones if it doesn't cause any issues) and, to me at least, the problem doesn't seem to be the way that I'm downloading it, (or I'm just obliviously incompetent) but rather with my computer itself.
