Romance Option Not Appearing- Help

Sim is unable to romance anyone. Recently installed game clicked new game, created a sim, no mods, no cc, not in a tutorial to my knowledge. The romance option after introducing self is not there/does not appear. I have repaired the game and restarted did not fix the problem. I have checked the sexual orientation for my female sim and it appears to be fine so I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it. I want to do the 100 baby challenge and not being able to have any romance options is making my game unplayable.
