Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*saves*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.

I did as you asked and Terminal came back with the following:
/Users/*User*/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves

Could you take a screenshot of the contents of the saves folder in List view and post it here.Definitely!
I will attach photo files of my save files as well as my mods folder.
I will also note that with my mods, I normally use the longer list of mods, but I got fed up with not being able to save last night and removed most of them to my current mods folder list. I found it helped with being able to save, but only sometimes. I re opened my game today and it had saved past the previous stuck point of yesterday (when I made this post), but I had still lost my most recent save.
