Save won't load

Question

Hi, I'm having a problem for a couple of months now. My game won't load. It gets stuck on loading screen when I'm trying to enter a save file. I tried everything. I cleared my cache, I reinstalled the game, I opened it without mods, I started a new save. I really don't know what the issue could be. The funny thing is I had a copy of my game from a few days ago in my external hard drive. Yesterday I tried to open that save and it worked just fine. So I moved that version of the game and the electronic arts folder in my pc and that same save that worked before it doesn't now. It happened the first time too. When the issue first occured even when I tried to open new saves or even different saves that I hadn't play in a long time, they wouldn't load either.

The other funny thing is that I hear the jingle of when you load into a household and I also hear the sims doing stuff, like before I heard them playing the piano or laughing. But the only thing I see is the loading screen.

I also tried to deactivate my antivirus and I formatted my PC last week (for a different problem).

This is my configuration (more than enough to play a game like the sims): Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz, 8GB of RAM and graphic card is NVIDIA GTX 1650 4GB. I'm playing on Win11.

@Dia4lit&nbsp; As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.&nbsp; Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents &gt; Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.&nbsp; (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)&nbsp; Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If this works, you can copy one of your saves from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one and test that too.&nbsp; But don't add any other content to the new folder, at least not yet.

Yeah, I can play new saves (but when I move my save into that new folder it doesn't load, though). Actually, yesterday I found out I can even play with other households in the same not loading save. So I thought my played household was the issue. I deleted them, I used a previous version of them I had in my library but when I place them, even on a different lot than before, the household doesn't load. It doesn't make sense. I used that version of my sims to create a new save and it worked fine, the household loaded. Now the same version of them doesn't load?!

@Dia4lit This is absurd. I don't get what's happening. I went back to another save where I have all of my heirs, it's not a played save. I just save my heirs from the played save and throw them to the other save to keep them alive and take photos. When I did it for my heir he was still a teen, I aged him up to take some pics and that's it, I exited that save and never entered it again in weeks. Now it doesn't work there either. I tried to save that sim to the gallery and have a friend of mine download it and when she tries to put him in her game, she has the same problem as I am: the game gets stuck but she still hears voices and stuff, like if it loaded correctly. It makes no sense, I don't get it! This sim from this save worked, I didn't use it in weeks so it shouldn't be corrupted and I haven't played with it. So why he doesn't work either?! I'm going insane trying to fix this problem because it makes no sense at all!

@Dia4lit Do you have any LastException files in your documents folder ?

Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

Having the issue listed here and I have a last exceptions file in my Sims4 folder.

Hadn't played the Sims I'm using in a while, added them from my gallery to a save where the main Sim died and I didn't wanna start over with the lot.
