Did you choose to become Best Friends Forever? Notice that you can only be BFF with one sim.
- @jpkarlsen no i didnt đ there is a notification and then they where great friends. still nothing changed :/

The messages that your sim became friends, good friends and so on are just informational and doesn't change anything.

Then you should only need to age your teen up to satisfy the part about "through the teen years" If that does not work I suggest you post in the bug forum..
