Script call error in Snowy Escape with stereo purchases

Getting a script call error only in Snowy Escape whenever I try to buy any music playing device.  Doesn't happen in Sulani.  Only two neighborhoods I have played this month since patch.  On Windows 11.  Tried updating mods and removing them as well.  Have tried repairing through the EA app and removing the localthumbcache.package, which I saw as solutions for this issue.  Have all content exce4pt werewolves and high school.  To reproduce, have a Sim live in Snowy Escape and try to buy any stereo or speaker, including record player.

A red oval pops up that says "script call error" and no stereo/speaker/record player appears in the home.  This is only happening in my Mt Komorebi neighborhood on my Win 11 box.  My Win 10 box works fine, but that is a different set of saves and families and Microsoft ID.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I read somewhere to remove the GameVersion.txt file (after removing mods and copying all the files) so I tried that, and removing localThumbcache.package, and that has fixed the issue.  Thanks so much!
