Script Mods Not Working

Hoping someone can help, I am trying to get script mods to work. Things I have tried - Enabled both custom content and Script Mods Put script mods in Documents>Electronic Arts>Sims 4>Mods Cleared...

Hi Im on a mac and I've got VLC so when i download It comes up with a picture of VLC I've tried uninstalling it but it dosent work
