Series of Different Bugs Since Latest Patch
Ever since the first patch that was supposed to fix any issues before the "My Wedding Stories" pack, my game has gotten extremely buggy. I have a collection of different issues I ended up running into and have not been resolved since the same pack was released.
- First and foremost, I cannot host any events whatsoever and I cannot end any events early. I can't even edit anything in regards to any event given else I would have to restart the game due to the editing menu freezing and preventing me from closing the game normally. It is very odd because it for some reason includes other types of "events" that I do not have access to such as (or what I assume to be) any pets' health. I don't really know, everything in regards to any event is just messed up and unusable.
- Next, I cannot make or buy anything, or at least I cannot see what I'm making or buying. Every food I try to make and every item I try to buy from the proper menus are all bugged out: each item is called "Proslutto" instead of their actual name and their icon is replaced with an unidentifiable mixture of two different foods or an item and some kind of food. I can't see a single thing, and I never know what I am getting until I actually make or buy the thing I am trying to get for my gameplay. In some senses in regards to the food, it won't tell me if it is vegetarian or lactose-free.
- Lastly, sometimes the game bugs out entirely and just deletes my taskbar and whatever buttons I can use to navigate the game. I'm not quite sure what that bar is called, but essentially everything from the sims' headshot to the game speed option to the sims' section of friends, personality, and so on are just gone. From there, I can't unpause the game or do anything besides restarting the entire game. It is especially odd because the game continues -or would continue- as normal; it doesn't necessarily freeze, and I could still select my sims. I couldn't make them do anything, though. This bug is inconsistent so I'm not actually sure what necessarily causes it.
I've tried fixing the game manually through Origin and I have restarted my computer multiple times. The last thing I have yet to try is to remove any and all of my mods, but I strongly believe that these series of bugs have no relation to my mods, as I do not have any mods that would affect that kind of gameplay. Is there anything I can do, or do I have to wait until the next patch for these to be fixed?
