So I think I may have been given the solution and I have now set the relationship move-in percentage to 0. It is the next sim day, and I've had no pop-up to say my sim has moved out with one of his boyfriends or girlfriends 😀 .
As long as the sims in the surrounding worlds continue to get married and live their lives, I think I may have found the solution.

Hi @gertie47! If this is something you don't want to see happening, long-term you'll want to figure out which mod is causing it. The game itself doesn't have a feature that will merge two households without your control.

@luthienrising I checked on the MCCC discord help server, and was given what I think is the solution - I suspected it was that mod. I played for about a sim-day and didn't get the pop up again, when I took their advice. Yet to go back in to play for a length of time (don't have time to do that right now)....But I assume it is now corrected.
