IDs 97D2 to 97E0 are the adult versions of the animal hats. They do have that field set.
But, at least for me, when I tried to set that field in a cloned part (by making it point to one of the animal hat buffs in a cloned top), it didn't work. Well, it worked in the GUI, but didn't have any effect in game.
