Sims 4 - CurseForge - Addon May Be Corrupt

I've recently downloaded CurseForge App to Install my Sims 4 Mods as they are easier to keep on top of with new updates.

Once I've installed a Mod on CurseForge into my MOD's Folder, I then move the Mod into another folder (Inside my Mods folder) every time I do this a Yellow Triangle with a black exclamation point comes up saying 'This addon may be corrupt'. Is there a way to fix this?

I've tried downloading from the website and also the app, this happens both times. I've seen people on YouTube do this and have no issues.

Can anybody help please?

  • @SophieBxnks I haven't checked Curseforge lately but I'm guessing it's stillt he same that it just downloads everything to the root mod folder ?

My guess is that when you moved them to subfolders, Curseforge lost the ability to deal with them and is giving you an error.

Do they work fine in the game ?
  • @crinrict Thank you for your reply.

Yeah, it downloads everything to the root mod, but I have everything sorted inside my mod folder to keep it tidy so I know where each mod is. I was hoping to try and keep it that way with CurseForge mods.

I have tried the mods I've installed on CurseForge in the game and they work fine, however, the exclamation point is still there and I wont know when each mod needs updating.

    Thank you

@SophieBxnks Yeah, that's the downside of Curseforge. Until they see way and let us have subfolders, it will be messy.

Maybe it lets you know about updates anyways though.
  • @SophieBxnks Last I tried CurseForge, as soon as you move or rename them at all, CurseForge completely loses track of them. You can either manage with CurseForge or organize into folders to manage yourself, but not both.
