I am also having this problem. I have bills that are due and the power company has shut everything off. I have tried to pay my bills using my mailbox, my phone, and my computer before they turned off my power. My sim goes through the motions of making the payment however my simoleons stay the same and the bills never actually get paid. Now I'm doomed to live in eternal darkness while I await the repo man to rob me blind. . .
@06d8877ac36a4bd1 Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
I am having the same issue. I have tested with no mods/cc on the save having the issue and it still occurs. I deleted my cache folders before testing.
@queenofthekings5 Did you also delete the file called localthumbcache? That's the one that matters for Mods folder changes.
@luthienrising yes, I did. I apologize I should have worded that better. I deleted all my cache folders. I did a test run last night in the save it occured in. I took out all mods and cc. I deleted all cache folders. Then I played the save until bills came again and I was able to pay them just fine. So I'm assuming a mod issue. So for anyone with this problem when testing make sure you play until bills come again before you rule out what the problem might be.
