Sims 4 crashing on loading screen
Genuinely don't know what to do. I've tried taking the Sims 4 file out from Electronic Arts folder into desktop folder, which does work and I can load a new save, but I don't know where to go from there. I don't want to start again with no previous saves.
My config file for graphics says [found: 0, supported: 1] but my graphics card is fine (no update available).
Tried taking my mods folder out, game manages to get to the main menu screen, so it could be that, but adding the mods folder back in - even having taken out all the mod files I had updated today - crashes the game again.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Microsoft Redistributable files, didn't work.
Tried clearing cache by deleting the localthumbcache, no luck.
Tried updating the EA app/clearing its cache, no luck.
I am at my wit's end; I must be missing something here. Can anyone suggest a solution here?
