Sims 4 doesn’t pull up options menu for ANYTHING i try

I have been playing Sims for years I’ve always been able to solve my issues on my own but this time with the September 8th patch that was supposed to fix the last issue did not fix my issue. My sims still cannot do anything with an options menu they can still do whatever they want their own free will but I cannot control them. I can edit any building I’m pretty much do everything normal except for came play with us a character. How do I fix this and if it’s a custom content issue I would like to know, I do use a lot of custom content so if I need to delete it all (cc) and restart I would like to know if that will help my game.

    @LeenaJT Do you have any mods in the game? It seems the last patch does not play well with some mods and those mods may need to be updates. That would be my first guess.

    I do have many mods, I’m very cautious with them though. thank you I forgot mods need updates too lol.

    I just updated my game for the new patch and when i go into my game options I only have 3 options.

    I've tried so many things to get them back, but nothing seems to work. does anyone know how to fix it?

    Do you by any chance have the Color Slider from thepancake1? I just had the exact same problem as you, followed all of the instructions this post , and removing that mod from my folder seemed to fix my options menu. Hope that helps!

    I‘ve been having so many issues with sims 4 the past few days. But i actually had that colorslider mod. As soon as i removed it, it worked perfectly. You‘re a hero🙏🏼
