@serendiqiity If you are downloading by adding files directly into your tray folder, if those files have errors or are missing content that's required to show up and function properly in the game, this could explain the issue with getting them to show up in your library &/or function properly in your game.
Did you test to see if lots are showing up properly in your library if you choose to "Save Lot to My Library" in the gallery, as @Psychotps mentioned?
I saved a build from the gallery to my library and it showed up.
I recently downloaded a build from paysitesmustbedestroyed, put the tray files in the tray, mods in the mods folder. That build didn't appear either.

@serendiqiity It could very well be that there's an issue with this player's build/tray files &/or the Mods. It could be a number of factors or a combination. I'm tending to think this may be the issue since you were able to download a different lot from the gallery successfully.

I asked my friends about it and they seemed to download the movie cinema fine. It showed up in their library.

@serendiqiity Hmmm... Well, I don't use Mods/CC, though I have messed with my tray and have downloaded or shared via tray files before. Since @Psychotps is familiar with both tray files and Mods/CC maybe he'll have additional tips with this new information.
- Is there any possibility that some of the tray folders are missing (I believe they use more than one, depending on the type - household, rooms, lots)?
- You could download the folder again and see if you see any thing in them that you don't have?
- There's a great post with information about using Mods/CC that you may want to reference: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/FAQ-How-to-use-Mods-CC/td-p/8781409
