sims 4 files corrupted, but repairing gives error

Hi, I just wanted to start the game, however I get an system error message stating some files are missing. The EA app then gives an error saying files are corrupted and the game needs to be prepared...

    Hi,

    Thanks for helping out. Of course I continued with trying to get things to work, and as it turns out my antivirus programme was the culprit. Had issues with this specific one with other things as well so that might help a few people running into launching problems as well.

@inlogtenberg Another thing I saw popped up in similar threads was to pause synchronising by onedrive, however this didn't solve anything either

    @inlogtenberg Re. mods, The game will always create resource.cfg in the Mods folder. It's not a mod or CC file. Are you on PC or Mac? We'll get you to a tech support area.
