How do I reset my options?
In Sims 4, select Options (where you would normally also select things like Load or New or Save). A new folder will have those reset to the defaults, and the best way to get your old options back is to reset them.
Yes I am playing with Mods it seems to have something to do with Sul Sul that screen comes up and it boots me right back out to the worlds screen ... how do I delete localthumbcache

Go into documents find electronic arts or sims 4 open and look for localthumbcache and open and delete them.
I've tried removing my mods folder but that didn't help, I'm otsure about the localthumbcache though. 🙂
@DoctorClara61 Could you please test on a clean folder? Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options (this is better than putting your old options file back in). Then try a new save.
I tried that and it didn't work ... however I ended up removing everything including all my saved stuff from the last 10 years (by accident) in the process so now I have a completely fresh and new game that is now working just fine I have old backups but I just want to get back to playing rather than fixing thanks everyone for all your help..
@Harleygirl62 There's always a chance, since a clean folder helped, that if you had mods, some need updating or removing. For that, start at Broken/Updated Mods . You could try putting in an old save and testing it now too.
My world shows as installed and the items appear in game for me, but when I click the world it’s just blank. Mine have actually been downloading in twos, but usually both worlds work. This one downloaded in two and neither will load the world, just a white background. I typically just exit to main menu and then go play regularly in another world.
@goldieeeeee773 Are you playing with any mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, head to Broken/Updated Mods to update/remove as needed. If you still have issues, see what happens after you drag that folder to your desktop and delete localthumbcache. (Don't save, though! Or test in a new game.)
