when i had one of my sims adopt a child the screen froze & turned grey. i haven't saved my data in a while. one of my sims died a little before this issue & i haven't saved the game before she died. i don't want her back (because i want my sim to adopt a child as the household was full) & i'll lose my other newer sims too. what do i do?
Hi @fruje9fjd7ka Unfortunately, if your game has stuck and won't save, you really don't end up with any choice but to exit without saving or force quit and lose your progress. I wish there was an alternative! You could, however, when you replay, help that Sim along a bit with a death cheat...
If you play with mods or CC, before you start again to get back to where you were, you might want to do a round of checking for what's broken or updated, in case the issue was caused by mods. You can start with the lists in the Broken/Updated Mods thread, but also check other mods you use for updated versions in case there are things not listed there that you have.
