Sims 4 Grim reaper is not killing my sims Dec 2020

Someone please help and tell me you are having the same problem :’(

After the new Dec 2020 patch update, this is the first time I  have tried to kill  my sims off to extend my family. I have tried killing 2 of my sims several ways (freezing, overheating, fire, Overexertion and drowning), nothing is working. It doesn't let me save my game or go to into manage worlds and build mode as the sim is dying so I had to exit without any of my data saving. 

The grim reaper comes and just stands there and doesn't interact and the plead buttons is greyed out. My sim has been ‘dying’ for three sim hours now. The other sims have witnessed the death and are crying around the dead sim but nothing else is happening. 

 I tried using the cheat on my PS4 but it didn't work.

    @AminaArif Hi, have you tried resetting the Grim Reaper or is Grimmy in another room and cant get to it ie, from doors being locked, items in the way so grimmy cant through?

    @TGamez1 Hi I tried resetting the Grim Reaper had no luck. When he I drown and froze the sims in the pool he was standing beside them outside the fence and indoor he is outside the room but the doors are unlocked, I don’t think anything is in the way ☹️

    @AminaArif I found a solution that helped someone on the forum, they put the dying sim into another household, before loading the lot.  You could try this, it might work lol

    @TGamez1 I tried this method but still no use 🤦🏻‍♀️
    I moved them to 2 different lots but the same thing is happening they die but the grim reaper is just chilling lol.

    i'm having the same problem but on windows.  he just stands there for 24 hours and doesn't swing the sickle or whatever the weapon he uses is called.  help!

    I have also noticed Grim is being rather slow on wanting to reap my sims. Usually it has been my Legacy Challenge founder who kept glitching and standing in the sun, after returning home from work, despite having a task to do that should take her immediately inside. (Kept having to exit to abort that death)

    At one point, Grim was so reluctant to reap he rather tend the garden. It's a large garden. Complete with a greenhouse. 😂
