@Oh_shejazzysims Please try this test to fully rule out mods/CC and help narrow down your issue a bit further:
- Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
- Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
- Start with New to test if your issue recurs.
- If that works, exit and copy files out of your old Saves folder into the new Saves folder. Important: Don't just copy the old folder! You want to use the newly created folders.
- Launch Sims 4 and use Load to select an older save to test.
Also, do you get lag in particular parts of the game, or all of them?

@luthienrising Once I did all of that. None of my saves were there. It created a new game.

@Oh_shejazzysims That's part of the testing process. After testing in the new folder, you can copy your save files back into it from the old folder that's on your desktop. Right now, you need to see if you have lag with a clean folder and a new save before putting any old content back in.
