I just reinstalled sims with all its packs, and entirely new cc. I was trying to launch it for the first time since downloading, and it WILL launch, but no window will appear and it is not present on my hotbar.
If i try launching it again, I get an error message that says I already have the game open.
any advice?? this is getting mighty frustrating
Try to uninstall and install again. That helped mine. Make sure that you do not have a duplicate of the app somewhere.
squemmily Does the game launch without your Mods folder? Please test and let me know. You don't need to save your progress.
For the error that the game is already open, restart your computer. Alternately, open the Task Manager and end any process that belongs to Sims 4 or the EA App, including in the background processes list.
It did launch yesterday without my mods folder! but I had already uninstalled all old mods and gone through the process of reinstalling new, updated ones.
squemmily Just because a mod is listed as updated doesn't mean it works. If your game is fine with no mods but stops working when you add a certain mod, that's pretty definitive: you can't use that mod until it's fixed.
