Sims 4 Lots not loading

Ever since the latest patch for High School Years, including the latest 'fix'  (and I haven't bought new expansion yet), I haven't been able to load lots. I get the loading screen and then it takes me back to the worlds screen. I managed to load into a family via the 'visit' feature from the world map but when I tried to travel for a date it took me back to the worlds screen again. 

This only applies to one specific save, in which I have a large family I'd hate to lose. 

I have tried repairing my game several times but it hasn't helped. 

I don't have any mods or anything cc.
