sims 4 mods folder not present, but mods still working

Question

HelloI recently moved my Sims 4 game onto an external hard drive. Everything is working fine, and my mods were transfered safely.&nbsp;Problem :&nbsp;I tried to downloading some new mods, however they did not show up in game. So I tried to see wheter the mod folder under origin games and Sims 4, was actually the folder responsible for the mods I use in my game, this I did my removing the folder and placing it on an external USB. Turns out, when I reloaded the game, my mods were still working. I have no clue what is going on, as I cannot find any other mod folder in my hard disk.. When I remove the harddisk, I cannot open the game.&nbsp;

@LillMopl&nbsp; Mods need to go in Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 4 &gt; Mods, not inside the game's program files.&nbsp; The only (safe) way to move your mods and other user data to an external drive is with a symbolic link; otherwise, the game won't know where to look for your mods.

Please let me know how you moved the Mods folder, but don't do anything else yet.&nbsp; Instead, try adding a new mod to the Mods folder in Documents (as above) and let me know whether it shows up in-game.

I did get it to work. I dont know how it works, but apparently my mods folder is not located on my external harddrive, where my game is on. I have been playing with mods for many years now, and it has worked fine. When I moved my game to an external hard drive, my mods did end up working, however when I added more mods using the exact same method as I always have, it just didnt show up in game.&nbsp;
