Sims 4 scenario ui missing

I just updated and played my game like normal (zero CC or mods) and I was playing the plantsim scenario and all of a sudden, the scenario UI disappeared. My Sim is also acting for work and when she went to her job, there was no UI for that either, then it turns out she missed The Lottery holiday because they all share a UI space! Why is this happening and how do I fix it? No CC or mods, freshly updated.
