I usually don't check my library unless I'm in CAS and intend on adding a sim from my library to CAS. This is when I noticed that a good chunk of the sims I've created were gone. The only ones I could see were the sims I had hearted, displayed on my profile, or had recently created and those sims have CC, so I don't feel like it's a CC issue.
The only changes I've made is downloading new CC but other than that I haven't significantly changed my game or anything. And yes, I believe a lot of my older sims are gone unfortunately. Recently, I made a random sim with no CC and saved it to my library just to see if the sim would show up in my library and it didn't ☹️
@itsjustaaliyah If you go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray, do you see files with timestamps that correspond to when you tried to save the new sim? (You can sort the contents by date modified so you don't have to scroll through the entire list.) If not, move the Tray folder to your desktop and try again; the game will generate a new Tray folder with no content.
The files in Tray can be swapped back and forth as you want, so it's fine to move the current Tray folder and then put some of its contents in the new Tray folder that the game creates. The point here is to see whether the sim can be saved at all and then go from there.
If you get an error when trying to move the Tray folder, or if it copies instead of moving, stop there and let me know.

I do see those timestamps and they do correspond to when I saved my recent sims! However it only shows household tray items that I created from February to March. I've had the game and have been creating sims since December, so shouldn't there be timestamps dating all the way back to Dec-Jan and not just Feb-March? It leads me to believe some of my tray files have been deleted ☹️

@itsjustaaliyah The files might also have been moved, for example perhaps OneDrive uploaded them to cloud storage, so take a look there.
Are you specifically saying that your Tray folder shows files from sims you've saved but which do NOT show up in-game? If so, please take everything out of Tray, let the game create a new Tray folder, and then move the most recent batch or two of files from the old Tray folder to the new one, and see whether the sims show up in-game.
I'd also like to see a screenshot of the current contents of Tray, as in, the files themselves, with timestamps showing. That'll make it easier for me to reference specific files, and I can also see if any files are missing or have been renamed.
