I've tried everything, including this method you presented, but nothing worked (with or without mods). For me, only the option to show aspiration appears, but when I go to choose the traits, I can't even click

I'm having the same issue but have no cc or mods in my game. Only have the games I purchased from EA.

the thing that is messed up that's making that happen is because of the EA CC icon so after I put a custom one in there it started working I can give you the exact one I use
@Nikkiperlove The game's own icon isn't broken, though.
It was broken for me, because I uninstalled the Sims 4 and even deleted the Sims folder from my files then I reinstalled without any CC in my game and it was still broken so when I add a CC Icon replacement in my game then it worked so
