Sims 4 wont open or load properly
When I try to open The Sims 4 a message pops up saying there was an issue on their end and to try again later, the message still pops up after trying every time even after days. When I did manage to successfully open the game (last 2/10/2023) when I try to press resume game or click on a lot to play the screen freezes and won't finish loading, eventually just turning black. After opening the game the only way I could close it was to restart my computer. Before those issues started files in CAS were missing or broken. How do I fix any of these problems?
@LivvieG As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If this doesn't help, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.
