Sims 4 won't work at all even without mods and cc

(I use a Mac) I was downloading more mods and cc when I went back to origin to start playing and an"End-user agreement" thing popped up. I signed it thinking it was an update or something. Since then...

I figured it out! It was all the outdated mods

Update: I can play in a different saved game but my most recent one doesn't work. It shows the people but they don't live in any of the homes.

It may be that the save has become corrupted. Have you tried restoring a backup? https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/recover-backup-save-game/
