Sims can’t change outfits and stuck on loading screens

So at first my game will be perfectly fine for a few hours but then once my character tries to change outfits, it doesn’t work at all. Their pictures at the bottom left will disappear when this happens & then I’ll try traveling to somewhere like high school and it will be stuck on the loading screen. All my mods are up to date, I tried the 50/50 method (nothing was wrong with my mods when I did it), and this has never happened before. I’ve tried making different households just to test it but it still doesn’t work.
