Sims catching on fire and game freezes.

I have been having issues with the game for a couple of months. When I upload a old game or make a new one with in a fee minutes my sims caught on fire, the top of the screen grey out and I am not able to do anything but hit F4 on my keyboard, to exit the game and to make a new game. The same thing happens I have went through all my mods and cc on my Mac that I have downloaded. How can I fix this? I have repaired the game. Had my niece look at it also and it does the same thing to her. I am at the point of deleting all mods and CC and trying to start over. Will this fix it?

  • @whisperingowl24 Have you tested with no mods/CC at all? Exit Sims 4 then move (not copy) your Mods folder to your desktop or rename it. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
