Sims get the 'Invasion of privacy' moodlet, which cancels all interactions.

Ever since I purchased the Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack and created a new household to playtest all of the new features, my sims keep getting the 'Privacy invaded' as if one sim had walked into the bathroom when the other was showering or using the toilet.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that due to this moodlet constantly appearing on my sims' profiles and the tied animation that this specific moodlet has, other interactions are getting canceled, to the point where no matter what I try to have them do, how many times I reset or teleport them, they just stand in place; embarrassed all the time.

I've tried reloading the lot and resetting the game multiple times, but it just keeps happening, so I don't know what else to do and I literally cannot play the game, as the sims won't do anything I tell them to. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a solution?

I do have mods, though they're all updated (I'm pretty sure), and I have all the packs except for a few Kits.
