Sims Have No Autonomy

Hi! I have been experiencing this issue for days now, have tried a few things (such as removing nearly all mods from my Mods folder, repairing the game, repairing my save file, etc.) and the issue has persisted. My sims have no autonomy whatsoever. I have double-checked the settings and autonomy is on, as well as autonomy for the selected sim. My sims just stand there doing nothing, and even with low needs, they still have no autonomy and their bladder motive will run all the way down until they go to the bathroom on themselves. Only a few moments after loading my game, the Better Exceptions window pops up to notify me that there is an issue and it seems the consistent cause points to 'autonomy_modes'. It also says the following: 'Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception running Element (TypeError: argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable)'

I have sent my exception report to their support server and received some assistance from their helpers, which I appreciate so so much, but unfortunately, the problem is still there. I cannot play my game whatsoever right now as my sims have zero autonomy, and it is making me sad. ☹️ I am trying to avoid needing to re-download the game or delete my custom content altogether, but at this point, if that is what I have to do, I just want to know that is what is needed so I can stop trying different things to no avail.
