Sims just keep standing there

Hello, I have done everything I can think of. I would say I'm pretty tech-savvy and I am lost.

In my game my sims don't listen to me, I will command them to go sit in a chair or go make a meal from the fridge and they will walk to the object they are supposed to interact with and they just stand there and do nothing. I am also having a glitch where, when it is 8 am and time for the children to go to school it will reset to 24 hours until class, and I can't make them go. I've already moved them to a new save like 3 times, this is a generation's family and I would like to continue playing with them. The only time this works is when I travel off the home lot, they listen normally. Then when i come back to the home lot it works for a few sim hours then goes back to the same way. It is infuriating. I have done everything, played with no mods, and still do it. I've cut my mods in half and added them back slowly, ive had a lot of time invested into the family, and im hoping someone has some ideas.

Ive even tried the sims timeline unclogger mod, and nothing works.

  • HI @MadiK22 Have you tested without the Mods folder, just to make sure it's not content there (or possibly quantity of content) causing an issue? If you still have a problem after dragging the Mods folder to your desktop and deleting localthumbcache, we can look at non-mod/CC causes.

I am also having this same issue. My sims will just stand frozen in place for countless sim hours instead of doing what I told them to do. If I shift click and use debug object they reset and immediately go right back to being frozen as soon as I assign as task to them. I have also typed in resetSim First Name Last Name and it does the same thing, they reset then immediately freeze again when you assign a task to them. If I travel with them to a lot in another world they act completely normal, but when they go back to their own lot they freeze within one or two tasks. I have completely removed all mods, have deleted the thumbcache, and have repaired the game through EA and the problem continues to happen.

@Sammalamm When testing mod-free, have you checked to see whether this issue occurs in a completely new save? Just to rule out the possibility of it being specific to one household or save.
