Sims keep getting stuck

Im playing with businesses and hobbies mainly right now but I have pretty much all of the packs. Gnomes appeared in my tattoo shop and i tried to get my sim to appease them but she just stood still and wouldn’t do anything. I cleared the cache packages and saved as a new save and then loaded into that new save which kind of fixed it. I travelled home and my sim was able to walk around etc when i clicked “go here” but then I tried to get her to get food and she just walked to the fridge and stood still in front of it. I cancelled the action and sent her to sleep and she still didn’t move, was just frozen in front of the fridge, but it said she was asleep. I thought it would go away and that it was just a bit lagged so i switched control to another sim in the household but it’s happening to them too. I told her to get food and she just food in front of it frozen for ages and wouldn’t do anything. It’s like the actions get queued but the sims just get stuck and won’t do anything. please help
