Sims keep resetting when they ask coworkers for metals or crystals

This has been happening since The Sims 4 updated. I have tried removing all mods, save files, and cache and hit repair game but nothing works. I’m doing the not so berry challenge right now so the glitch is REALLY hindering my gameplay 😢 Any ideas on how to fix this issue are welcomed. Thank you
