Sims playing on there own
I am playing The Sims 4 and my people continue to do things when I'm not there my lady had her baby and they named it is there any way to prevent this I have turned off auto aging I have turned off e...
Are you a rotational player who uses mods?
I use MCCC's "pause pregnancy" whenever I switch houses if someone in the household is pregnant. I want to be there for the birth!
No I just play regular lol... What are mccc mods?
Are you playing with aging on or off for your sims? There are separate settings for aging on the Game Options menu under the Gameplay button. For playable sims, you have options for all your played sims to sims to age, only the active household to age, or none of them. This is a dropdown choice box. This setting only applies to sims you have under the My Household tab in Manage Household that are marked as played and have the dark green plumb bob icon. If the household has the lighter green plumb bob icon, the game will see those sims as unplayed and use the NPC setting.
For NPCs, there is a separate setting for them which is either on or off which is just a checkbox. Most NPCs are under the Other tab in Manage Households (MH) and have a grey plumb bob icon but you can keep them in My Households if you want, where they will have the light green plumb bob.
I play my game with aging on for the active household and NPCs so that my other played household don't age while I'm playing my current household. I keep all my played sims marked as played so they have the dark green plumb bob icon in MH.
Regardless of your aging settings, pregnancies will still proceed to conclusion for all sims, both played and unplayed whether you are playing them or not at the time. That is just how the game works. Once the baby is born, if you have aging off, then the baby won't age and other sims in the household won't age, progress with skills or jobs and school and will be just like they were when you last played them.
What I do for my played households that have an active pregnancy when I want to change to another one is to wait until the baby is born. After I have named the child then, I change to a different one if I don't want to play that one atm. Otherwise, the game will name the baby and then you have to wait until the child ages up to toddler before you can change the name in CAS.
But like @xochiquetzl_xkvn said, MCCC does allow you to pause one if you really don't want the baby to be born until you get back to that household. MCCC (MC Command Center) is a popular mod that a lot of people, me included, use. If you are on a console, you can't use mods so you won't be able to use it. If you are on a PC or Mac and want to use it, you can find a link to it on this page: [INFORMATION] Common Game Fixing Mods - Hero Approved - Answer HQ (ea.com).
Hope this helps.
