Sims Very slow at doing tasks

While playing the game, the sims 4 sim are very slow at doing the commands. I have tried to restart it multiple times and deleted the cache. I also tried to delete other bugs but my saved files were also deleted that really upsets me the most. I’m not able to retrieve it. So I was expecting that this game will be faster as i have created a new one unfortunately it’s STILL the same. So frustrating because it’s so slow and my previous game that i have created can’t be fixed

  • @Audinenitch1396I am sorry to hear you lost your saves.
The lag / slow sims is an ongoing known thing ☹️
You did right in trying to check if CC by removing / updating? / and deleting the cache. Never a bad idea after an update if any weirdness to check cc.
Sadly, this one still hits most people. CC or not.
They just run slow since the last few patches and especially on For Rent.
Advice part. Always keep the saves in backup, so you do not accidentally lose them if not a save issue.

  • @Audinenitch1396 Some things to check for:

    • Are you lining up a *lot* of Sim interactions in a row, especially in large households?
    • Do you have near or over 250 script files in Mods, or a hundreds/thousands of package files? Especially for script files, consider cutting down to what you actually use, not what you might use someday. Also, check for duplicate files.
    • Have you turned your graphics settings up above what the game set for you?
    • Are you playing in a large lot stuffed with interactable objects, especially if moveobjects.on was used to place them?
    • Has the game started generating dozens and dozens of new townie households? (Delete those and see if it helps.)
    • In Options > Other, do you have the top left one about online social stuff ticked on? Try unticking that.
