The only way to be sure that none of your CC or mods is causing this -- that none are actually broken -- is to do a "vanilla" test using these instructions:
Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
I did it and the problem still occurs, I’m assuming it’s definitely an EA problem
brookie_beanz It's not one I've seen reported. Try doing a Game Repair in the EA App (if you use Steam, there's a similar function there) and, in game, do a "save as" on that save.
