sims won't do any tasks

yeah 

so i have this one sim that was really uncomfortable. So I just thought, alright lets have her take care of herself and do all the things she needs to do, blah blah blah. Only when i went to try and get her to do those things they immediately disappeared. I tried pausing the game and clicking on everything she needed to do but it won't work and all of her needs are at or close to 0 and she still won't do anything. it just goes away as soon as i click it

also for some reason my two adult sims like- hate their assigned bed? whenever i click on it to get them to sleep they wouldn't sleep, but they sleep just fine on the other double bed

oh sleep is another thing. it got to a point where i had to remove all couches and benches because my sims kept going to sleep on them and wouldn't do any tasks.

help?
