I had to stop playing with residential rentals cause they were so unplayable! All the sims just stand there doing nothing and barely responding to you
Do they even know some of us are having this issue??
Like hello! please try to fix it.
Hi @FairyPinkett @beckyfern92 Is the lag you're experience happening with updated mods (outdated MC Command Center has caused lag), or no mods at all? Is it specific to the new lot type or a specific lot? Also, are you playing offline?
We (and Maxis) know you're having this issue. It's a complicated one because there's many different causes that aren't game coding - computer specs vs. numbers of Sims and objects, mods, playing offline with certain "Other" options on, etc. - so narrowing down which *are* game coding happens case by case and which there are other solutions for.
For me, I've had it with and without mods and with and without residential rental lots.
My computer is massively over the minimum specs for the game as well.
I am playing online.
@FairyPinkett Given that this isn't an issue specific to Residential Rental for you, when did you last do a clean folder?
Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. Exit, then copy the contents of the Saves, Mods (but not resource.cfg, Screenshots, Tray, etc. into the new folders. See if that's helped during gameplay.
Okay! I'll try it out thanks.
