There is an issue with the filters: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-HSY-No-Fashion-Choice-Outfit-type-filters-for-Trendi/m-p/11673959#M221923 but they should no longer wear it once you remove it.
At which point did you remove your mods/cc ?
Hi, thanks for responding.
I actually had this happen to me when the High School Years pack initially came out, and I wasn't using any mods. I just moved onto a new Sim and forgot about the issue until now on a new save. Now I'm only using a mod that adds a couple of aspirations and enables "existing venue changes".
I did disable mods today and had her buy a new outfit, tried it on, changed into her normal clothes and then she immediately gifted it to someone. She returned home and had her take a shower, she changed into the new thrift store outfit that I had gifted instead of being "blurry naked", so the problem is still there.
Also, when she was done a task and decided to automatically workout (I didn't tell her to), she auto-changed into the Thrift store outfit.

Yes, I just tested that out. I went to a family that was default in Copperdale, had a Sim create the outift at the Thrift Store, try it on, change back and gift it immediately. Then she went home and took a shower and she auto-changed into the outfit that she had just given away.

In my experience, you have to use the "Remove outfit" option on the bag in the inventory to take off the Trendi outfit, otherwise the game will permanently think your sim is wearing it forever, overriding your normal bathing outfits etc.
