Some CC wont show up in CAS

so ive been playing the sims 4 for years now and ive always downloaded ccs to the game and never had a problem

but recently something weird is happening and some of the ccs i download wont show up in cas and i feel like ive tried everything at this point. i deleted and replaced the mods folder a bunch of times and deleted the localthumbcache file but really nothing seems to work

and the weird thing is that i could be downloading a set like pants and a shirt and only the pants would show up in cas even though both files are in the mods folder.

is there any way to fix that because thats honestly so frustrating

    @ttynnie when you say a set, I think you mean both were updated at the same time and you expect either none or both to work, right?

    You could try to move your mods folder out of your the sims 4 file, restart the game and then move your mods over to the new folder. Don't replace the new config file though.

    If that does not work:
    When you look at the CC set that's supposed to work (but doesn't) for example, is one of them a lot smaller in size than the other? Or does it maybe show a different extension?

    @DeanXeL yeah thats what i mean

    and thats what i did with the mods folder i deleted the one i had and opened the game, and then put my cc to the new folder the game created

    and the size difference in the sets case isnt big and has the same extension

    also the ccs that wont show up arent old or anything most of them are from this or last year. the oldest i have are from 2015 and they do show up in cas. the ones that dont are all pretty new

    Take out your entire The sims 4 folder, just move the CC from the set in, nothing else. Start the game, start a new save, do they both load?

    @ttynnie so completely blank The Sims 4 folder aside from both CC, right?

    could you PM me a link to the CC maybe? I'll check them too in my game 🙂

    @DeanXeL ok i put the sims 4 folder on my deskop and it forced me to open a new game, also the ccs just werent there, it was like i dont have any cc (i looked in the cc list)

    @ttynnie yep, that's supposed to happen, aweome!

    When you copy the 2 CC you sent to me from the desktop file in the mods folder of the newly generated sims 4 folder, launch the game and start a save (or if you saved now, launch this new save), do they both show up? (for me they did)

    @ttynnie and you didn't move anything from the old folder except those 2 CC files, right?

    When you loaded, still just the new save and no other CC visible?
