Some Horses won't go to training or enter competitons

One of my sim families has 5 horses.. two horses i made in CAS when the new expansion came out (with the full edit mode cheat), One was a baby of my original two that has grown up and the other two horses I made and added later on in CAS with the full edit cheat again. I can't seem to enter two of my horses into competition's or send them to training. I can send 3 horses to competition's and training without problems.. the original two and their baby but, both of the horses I made in CAS later on won't go to either option. it charges me the fee but the horses stay and the que disappears and nothing happens. I tried actually taking the these two horses to the equestrian center to enter there but it again charged me but the horse won't enter the competition or go to training and the que just disappears. I can train the horses on my own so they gain skills but i can't enter these two in any competitions without it glitching and nothing happening.

one other issue I'm having is my gates won't stay locked so my goats, sheep and horses get out often despite me locking each for each type of animal. however it seems to keep out dogs and cats properly.
