Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm dealing with the same issue. New games and loading other households works fine, it's just one lot/household that causes an immediate crash when trying to access. I went back to find an accessible save from recovery (losing lots of hours of play) so I could at least try to get the lot saved in Gallery, and now that newer/recovered save file also seems corrupted. Hoping I don't have to totally scrap this one. ☹️
