Stop Dancing!
Sul Sul!
So, my sims have gone crazy. When I tell them to do basic tasks (social interactions mainly), they just start dancing and the task disappear from the queue like it was complete...
Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
i have tried what u suggested and also uninstalled and reinstalled the game, the same problem still occurs!
@lemnom12 Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
I'm upping this report because I've had this same bug after the Lovestruck patch. Seems like it's an old random bug with similar reports from over a year ago but hasn't been fixed. People report the cause might be some packs that have gotten glitched due to an update. I did a test on a new save with repaired and freshly generated files without mods, with cache cleared, but the bug was still there. I uninstalled some packs people have mentioned being the cause (toddler stuff, laundry day among others) but had no luck with that either.
@Its_me_Ernesto Time to head to Bug Reports , then. Start at the pinned posts to find a thread. I believe there's a thread for general autonomy issues.
