Stuck on loading screen when going to manage worlds

Hi! I don't know what is happening with my game. I deleted about 95% of all my mods but, I still have a lot of cc though. I have recently bought the For Rent expansion pack. I'm not sure if the pack is the issue but I'm putting that in here for context. A couple weeks ago, I was playing with one of my sims and I had her travel to a non-residential lot. When I tried sending her home the screen went black except for the control bars at the top and bottom of the screen. I had to force quit my game because it wouldn't let me click on anything in those control bars (i.e. the camera controls, manage worlds, gallery, main menu, etc.). I tried opening and closing my game with the same issue every time. I updated all my mods and cc and that didn't help. So, I deleted almost all of my mods, except for the ones I really like playing with (which is only three now), and deleted a ton of other things off my Mac that were taking up general storage thinking maybe there was just too much on my Mac and it couldn't handle it. I had plenty of gb's of storage left that this shouldn't have been an issue but I figured it might help. I tried running my game and the black screen issue was fixed after all that. Now, I can't move my young adult sim out of her parent's house using the split from household and move both on the phone and the computer as it just doesn't complete the action. I was going to go to manage worlds and move her that way but, every time I click on manage worlds, I get stuck on the loading screen for forever. The plumbob is still spinning and the phrases change like normal but, I haven't been able to get it to load to the worlds. I have even moved all three mods into a separate folder so the game wouldn't recognize them and I am still having the stuck on loading screen issue. I don't know what else to do. I have spent a lot of money on packs for this game and I have four generations of sims that I don't want to lose/would like to be able to play with. Please help!
