Could it be the BB CC you’re using is too much for your Mac to handle? For example, alpha CC can be incredibly greedy with machine resources when it has an extremely high poly count. Maybe some BB CC items are conflicting with each other?
Possibly, I have maybe only a handful of alpha CC to be honest. I mainly collect maxis match. Would there be any way to figure out if my Mac just can't handle it? it Seems to run smoothly.

Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162
A screenshot of your in-game graphics options would be helpful too.
