The sims 4 - Everything stopped working

Hi, 

2 days ago I started playing the sims 4 again.. after more then a year.. 

I put down some mods (life mods) that most people use.. and It worked fine until the thing where you spend your fame point disappeared, I could not find anything about that problem but I tried a little of everything.. 

1. I took away all the mods and disabled the mod script option in the options.. (it didn't work) 
2. then I reinstalled origin (it didn't work)
3. I repaired the game through Origin (it didn't work)
4. I reinstalled Origin and The sims 4, after I read up about how not to lose your save (because I didn't want to loose the family with 2 characters I had spent 5 hours on making... yes I have a problem) , followed the instructions (it didn't work)

So I gave up, I can't get the menu, I will fix it later.. (please help me with that too)
Now my mods aren't working anymore either,  
please help XD I just spent 3 hours trying to fix it and I'm out of ideas :P 

UPDATE; AFter trying a suggestion and it not working I made the hard decision to start from scratch... and I have now taken away everything and reinstalled the sims again, and even without mods the fame thing does still not work.
You can see it pop up when you become a newcomer.. you click it and it dissapairs...
