The Sims 4 title screen has placeholder text all over the place

Text such as "TITLETITLETITLE" are appearing all over the place. I wouldn't care if this was the only problem, but when i press new game, it either brings me back to the menu, or freezes the game. I'...

    I deleted my mods and the problem went away.

@Hatyyxx I merged your post with an existing thread on this.

Could you please try a game repair and also remove any mods/cc you might have and if you still see issues, please see post above from Nick.

    was hoping you might have had a helpful response  like perhaps which mod it was causing the issue to occur. obviously deleting all mods would fix the issue. that's pretty basic knowledge.
