There’s no butter in the game but some recipes require butter?

Are you using mods? You'll have to ask the mod creator how to either purchase or make butter. In a vanilla game, pies take an egg, a flour or sugar, and something for the filling - like apples for apple pie or a pumpkin for pumpkin pie.
